Abstract
iSeeker: AbstractThis project aims to research and produce a client-side internet search tool.The research will focus on intelligent agents as the high level methodology and other AI areas such as artificial neural networks, fuzzy logic, knowledge-based systems, and genetic algorithms for detailed implementation issues. Some research will also be devoted to internet search techniques and the study of 'web-communities'. Special attention will be given to HCI issues, such as adaptable GUIs and automatic 'learning' of user preferences. The final product will be a windows based application developed with Visual C++/MFC. Towards the end of the project, I will briefly study the feasibility of a 'distributed search-engine' based on the client-side application as an idea for a future project.
